I am sending out this gentle reminder that the AP department is hosting a Popular Vote contest at the Feering NMRA May Meet for freight cars/wagons and passenger cars/carriages in both enhanced RTR and kit/scratch-built categories. The NMRA BR May Meet 2022 will take place from 10 am to 4 pm at the Feering Community Centre, Coggeshall Road, Feering CO5 9QB, on Sunday May 22 2022.
Voting slips will be distributed to all show attendees.
Those wishing to enter should complete the standard NMRA contest form. It can be found at https://www.nmra.org/sites/default/files/education/contest/form_901_rev_j_8-22-20.pdf
Entrants are asked to fill this out in advance, but a limited number of forms will be available on the day.
Limited AP assessments in any model category will also be available; please ensure that you pre-announce your intention to bring items for assessment before you come to the AP Chair, Keith Webb, or to either Mick Moignard or Ray Persing; contact details available via the Directory.
Those wishing to have an AP assessment done on their model are asked to complete the AP form found at https://www.nmra.org/sites/default/files/education/contest/nmra_model_contest_judges_score_sheet.pdfprior to the day. If you’ve never had an AP assessment done on a model, it’s suggested that you contact Keith, Mick, or Ray to discuss best practices in accomplishing the form.
We had 13 models in Stokenchurch – the region challenges members to double that number at Feering!
