We are excited to let you know that Registration and Room Bookings for the NMRA BR 2024 Convention, The Berkshire Express, is now open on the Convention website – visit https://convention.nmrabr.org.uk to find out more about the 2024 Convention and to register for it. On the home page you will find two buttons:
1. a blue ‘Register for Convention’ button – press this (or the ‘Registration’ link on the left menu) to register for the convention. Weekend Registration is £18. Members who are only coming on the Saturday will pay £6 on the door (non-members £8). If you are registering for more than one person just add more registrations to the shopping cart. Use the ‘Add Note to Order’ button to let us know what name(s) you’d like on your badge(s)
Please note – while payment goes via the PayPal portal, a PayPal account is NOT required! Below the login link there is a form to enter your credit card details (or a link to enter your details, depending on your web browser). If however you are not comfortable with online payment, we will have registration forms at the Winter Meet in Stokenchurch this coming weekend and you will be able to pay via cheque or credit/debit card. We will possibly also have forms to download, but we are trying to encourage online payment as much as possible as it makes our job easier! Please let us know if you would like to pay via another method and we will accommodate you.
2. a red ‘Book Hotel Room & Meals’ button – press this (or the ‘Hotel Booking’ link on the left menu) to book your hotel room and select which meals you would like. The form will auto-calculate the estimated cost, but NO MONEY IS DUE NOW – you will pay directly with the hotel on arrival. No deposit is required. Meals can be changed up to 2 weeks before the Convention.
If you have any questions about the Registration or Room Booking procedure, please contact me directly via convention@nmrabr.org.uk
Our website will be updated regularly, so please check back often for updates. We are excited about this Convention, due to the location (very easy to get to, in a beautiful village with a lot going on for partners who want a break from trains – more on the Non-Rail activities will be published soon). clinics, layout tours, self-drive tours to nearby railroad and model railroad attractions. Keep an eye on the Convention website, https://convention.nmrabr.org.uk !
This Convention is a joint venture by The Thamesiders MRG (https://thamesidersmrg.org.uk/) and the Seaboard Southern MRG (https://www.seaboard-southern.org.uk)
Looking forward to seeing many of you there!
