Winter meet 28th Feb 2015 Something New from the Nene Valley Railroaders

Abbey Centre 10 Overslade Close, East Hunsbury, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN4 0RZ

10am til 4pm Members £5.00

Hot + Cold food, plenty of free parking with a large Tesco store (Mereway) near by if you have any money left to buy the weekend shopping!

The venue is about 2 miles a from the M1 junction 15 and 15A just off the A45. Good bus service from Northampton town centre No 28 and No 14 and there is a Tesco bus to the super store again from the town centre.

We have a great line up for you this year with interesting trade possibly some of them for the last time, LSWR, Steam Powered Video, Sunningwell Command Control, Anoraks Anonymous, Richard Maxwell, Brian's Trains, Amberly Services, + Lindas Books, Peco.

One new name to note among the ever disappearing US trade is Anoraks who brought all of John Parker's stock (Western Models) so she has a great range of second hand rolling stock at fair prices. She was at the Crewe meet late last year and i spoke to her at the Warley show.

A several interesting layouts booked at time of writing Worces N gauge, plus layouts from Z gauge to G1 Bring + Buy tables will be £5.00 per table we hope to offer a good number as we know these are very popular among members on a first come bases. Sorry to hear that the winter meet does not live up to your expectations.

Please do understand that meets are often organized by a small group of people who are trying to guess what people like based on their experiences. Obviously, it is difficult to please everyone all of the time, but I'm sure they (and indeed organizers of other events) would like to have some of your constructive comments and views how they could improve?
The region isn't big, and hasn't got unlimited funds, but perhaps there are some items which can be done, that you would enjoy?

Feel free to write in to Roundhouse to voice your views, suggestions, or leave comments in the 'Society Business' section of this forum. The region is built by its members, not just a select few.
