Thamesiders Modular Trial Run for Ally Pally

Post by warbonnetuk »

Hi All

This year the Thamesiders group will be flying the flag for the region at this month Ally Pally show with their largest set up yet. As a technical and logistical test run we put up, ran and knocked down the set up. The below link are a few pics to provide a taster for anyone planning to come along

Looks great. I think I'll have to come along. Maybe help on the NMRA BR stand one day (it is going to be there, isn't it?) and watch Thamesiders on the other. What I want to know is, will the drum kit be there?

Imagine these joined up to the set up we had at the Exeter show last year, what an impact that would have on the public. It shows that the 'national trainshow' we've been brainstorming about is certainly a possibility.

Dan, I should be there on the Sat and I'd also be happy to cover a lunch if needed.

Hi Dan.

I reckon I'll be there all day both days, so let me know when you need me and I'll do time on the NMRA BR stand as well. Is Patrick organising this one?

Thanks for that, I'll pass that onto Patrick Grace who is organising our rostering

That's great as I believe we are a little 'light' on Sunday. V cheeky but if you could hang around for a bit after closing to give a hand with knocking down that would be a lifesaver.

You're correct in that Patrick is organising the NMRA Stand as well as the rostering for the layout.

If you're down The Space on Friday we can cover any detail off then

Cheers

I'll be taking A3 sized versions of the Sharing Know-How posters along. John Pitty has printed them off. The print quality is excellent. I'll let others comment on the material content.

As I will working the weekend I can't commit to times but will try to get there for an hour or so.
