Re: Indiana Railroad SD9043MACs

That's a nice paint scheme on those SD90's. (and my god those things are huge!)!
Are these showing up in Broadclyst, or will they have to wait a bit longer for a DCC decoder?

California Northern SD9 203 test run

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6hFg3p5RvU Here's my latest project (and still not finished), but it made it's first test run today. Here it is just exiting Cordelia Tunnel, among freshly applied latex paint ..... The loco is a stripped and repainted Athearn Bluebox SD9, detailed with a Details Wes...

Re: RS Tower

Nice reefer block. And pulled by one of my favourite locos, SD40-2's, too bad of the little 'hickup' of the locos, and a wobbly caboose :-)

Re: 10th Nov 2012 - Freemo meet, Broadclyst

Hi Martyn, it's 99% certain that I can join in, although I'm not sure if I can be there all day (I hope so).
In any case, I'm looking forward to join in the fun, being part of a crew or whatever is thrown (not literary hopefully) at me. :-)

Perhaps it's the lighting, but that Conrail blue looks much darker than I thought it was in this shot, but yes, they look great!

Re: A great weathering resource....

Thanks for the link, I guess this might be my next stop to look for tips and tricks , now that the 'modeltrainsweathered' website/forum has been down for ages, and hadn't found anywhere else where this sort of thing was shown in such a good way.

Re: Short UP Auto Train

I don't disagree with you both , and you should take my remark with a couple of grains of salt. :-) There is a prototype for everything, but you are right, a collection of oddballs and exceptions doesn't look realistic at all. The reality for many of us is that we have usually limited space, so runn...

Re: My HO Switching Layout - Galatia, KS

I am really starting to like this new forum, nice layout indeed, I love the small GE's. It is great to see the enthusiasm of people now posting on here, hopefully more will follow. On my part, i will try to 'present' my home layout this coming week on here. (it's by far not anywhere near finished, b...

Striving to being closer to the Prototype

(Split from this topic - viewtopic.php?f=30&t=95)

see, our relatively short trains on our model railroads are prototypical, no need for 100's of cars :-)

Re: Suggestion box

Here's a suggestion, not so much in regards to the forum, but rather how some posts here could be used in due course. Let's say someone has posted a couple of posts on how they build a structure, would it be an idea to collate those posts into an article and re-use it (photo's and all) in Roundhouse...

Re: BNSF Horsethief Bridge N Scale

Hi Anthony, clicking on your photo brought me to your Flickr page, and I have been browsing through your photo's a little bit. I like the way you made the slide detector fences , and dug a channel for foundation etc. I think you should post in the scenery construction section of this forum, how you ...

Re: BNSF Horsethief Bridge N Scale

You've done a great job there on the scenery and right of way, textures and colours are great.
Particularly for N scale , it is sometimes hard to find the right textures for groundfoam etc (at least it was when I was an N scaler back in the '80's).

Well done!

Hi Alan, no that's not swearing in my book. :-) I'm not sure in regards to the functionality you're suggesting, but will have a look. the forum is also still new to me. :-) Koos Alan, I've looked, and yes you can change the order of things as a general setting. go to your 'user control panel', and t...
