Christow modular meet -

Hi all, hope you've had a great Christmas and New Year. Time to start getting the planning underway for Christow modular meet 2017. Dates this year are 6th/7th May, this does clash with Derby show for any of the midlands guys, we'll try and miss that in future years but it wasn't possible in this on...

Re: Great Northern Caboose kit

The 'late' trucks on them look like Andrews ones? If so - Walthers 920-2032?

Re: Blue box SD40-2

I've made a couple of enclosures for speakers to fit above the rear truck in the body, one of which is approx twice the depth, in theory it will increase the bass response. I have another Blue Box shell in Conrail livery which I want to fit full lighting too. This one has 2 red dots painted on each e...

Re: Walthers Kits

148 has built-in 'whisker' centering springs whilst the 5 has a separate phosphor bronze centering spring. The 148 is probably the easiest option.

Re: Advance notice - Devon Freemo Meet 2016

Freemo is a type of modular model railroading, in this case in HO scale. For a flavour of a meet, here's some pics from a recent one:

Re: Advance notice - Devon Freemo Meet 2016

Bit of a bump for this topic - remember these aren't "open to the public" events - if anyone wants to come along to this please send me a message, I'll be starting to tie things up early in the new year.

Re: Call for modules - Armitage 2015 - 26th/27th Sep 2015

Well the event went off very well, we had a fabulous layout thanks to a lot of keen module builders, we had a very keen team getting it running as well. The layout was very close to the plan above, only a few small changes happenned since that was posted, plus a couple of module name changes. Here's...

Re: AP Chief Dispatcher

I do think with something like a bespoke training layout, funding it is maybe the easy bit. Getting it stored, transported, and having somebody who will look after it and make sure it turns up in working order ready to use are probably harder things to crack! It does strike me, looking at the requir...
