Kent & East Sussex Group

The Kent & East Sussex Group was formed in July 2013 and is open to all NMRA members, principally for those resident in the two counties of its name and those members who live along the A27 and A23/M23 corridors in West Sussex but all other members  are always welcome.

The Group meets approximately monthly in members' homes across Kent and East Sussex, although future Meets may take place also at places of railway and other transport interest. Meetings have been held in Crowborough, Bexhill-on-Sea, Seaford, Hastings, Lewes, Lancing, Gravesend and Strood to date, all viewing and running members' home layouts.

At the moment we have only one meeting planned for the Autumn Season (usually 11.00am - 4.00pm) - there are more in the pipeline:

  • Saturday 29 September 2018 at the home of Derek Murphy in Crowborough.  This will be an opportunity to meet up to discuss future design and adaptation of the former Rio Grande Northern boards for Craig into a FreeMo format. There will also be a good chat about the trip to the Convention in Kansas City. Please contact the host to let him know you are coming.

Maps for directions to the Group's meets are provided in the Division Newsletter - see this link: https://www.nmrabr.org.uk/south-eastern-division-news.
