Kent & East Sussex Group

The Kent & East Sussex Group was formed in July 2013 and is open to all NMRA members, principally for those resident in the two counties of its name and those members who live along the A27 and A23/M23 corridors in West Sussex but all other members  are always welcome.

The Group meets approximately monthly in members' homes across Kent and East Sussex, although future Meets may take place also at places of railway and other transport interest. Meetings have been held in Crowborough, Bexhill-on-Sea, Seaford, Hastings, Lewes, Lancing, Gravesend and Strood to date, all viewing and running members' home layouts.

At the moment we only have one definite meeting planned - there are more in the pipeline:

  • Saturday 14 April 2018 at the home of Derek Russell in Bexhill-on-Sea. There will be plenty of time to operate on his layout and view the changes he has made of late.  Derek will also be demonstrating his techniques in making trees from twisted wire that he showcased at the one-day of clinics at Hastings last year.  Please let the host know you plan to attend.

It is hoped to have more sessions in Hastings, Strood, Crowborough and Istead Rise (near Gravesend) in the coming months.  Please call Mike Arnold on 01892 459967 or e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for  further details.
