Posting Failure

Post by deanobeano »

Hi Koos,

I have just spent the last 30 mins or so typing out an update and adding pictures to my layout blog only to find that when i hit the preview button it tells me to LOGIN !!!!

When i do i cannot find the newly written details.

This is the second time its happened and its very frustrating - is it me or the system?

Kind regards

Hi Deano,

that's odd indeed, I'll have to look into that...

I must admit I haven't used the 'preview' button myself recently, but I'll give it a try by posting this message......

......And that seems to be working OK.

How are you adding the pictures? Are you trying to post them directly to the forum, or are you doing it by inserting links such as those via Flickr (pasting in BBcode) to embed it in your message?
Direct posting is not possible, and could be that this is why you get the error.

Try and post a bit of text, preview, and then submit. If that works, edit your post and try and add a picture and see where it goes wrong?

Hi Koos,

Thanks for the timely response, I will try this out using the iPad without photos. I wonder if my login is just dropping out - perhaps it's because I'm waffling and it's a silent protest!!!!

Well that seems to work ok. The next post will be via the laptop so that I can add photos by pasting the bbcode into the post.

Hi Koos,

Now posting from the HP laptop to see if the problem persists - a photo perhaps

ImageCentre of the Interlocking by Dean Halls, on Flickr

lets see if this works using preview

And so it does - perhaps i should just keep the posts short?

Kind regards
