Quisling: constructing 16 feet of modular railroad
Re: Quisling: constructing 16 feet of modular railroad
They also do kits of H0 40' ISO containers for about £2.50 each. You get two roof/floor pieces, 4 doors, 2 end-pieces and two ribbed sidewalls for your money. For anyone looking at intermodal operations this has to be the cheapest way of filling those well-cars.

Don't like the smooth roof if you're looking at modern ones, but that would not be an issue on the bottom.

You could always put styrene strip across the flat roof, or use them underneath 45' or 53' ribbed-roof ones.Gloriousnse wrote:Don't like the smooth roof if you're looking at modern ones, but that would not be an issue on the bottom.

Just about finished the fruit packing building, with the adding of a sawtooth roof and appropriate signs.

And I also used a Blair Line DIY sign kit (which I extended either side to get the letters to fit) to make an appropriately "Coast Line" company hoarding.

There was an SD7/GP9 combination seen on the Quisling Turn at last Saturday's Western Union January 2015 meet.
