Member Jacqui Thomas has recently forwarded me a newsletter with all about Velocipedes etc.
Not quite sure where to post it on the website, I thought at least a post on the forum with a link to the file is easiest to do.

Hope it is of interest: http://www.nmrabr.org.uk/downloads/NEWS ... builds.pdf

A new Velocipede newsletter is now available for those interested.

I have not yet created a dedicated newsletter location for this topic on the website. Would like to know what the BOD's view on that is, as although it's Railroading, and it is unique, it is not something we generally see done, and not sure how to categorise it. So for now I offer a direct link through these means.

Via Dean Halls:

Dear All,
We have had a terrific Rally, in Cumbria organised by John Midcalf and Trevor Catterson.
Most of the attenders stayed in the same big house organised brilliantly by Tam, and Phil cooked a very welcome Pie and Mash on the first evening after all the travelling.
And the two most perfect “Full English” breakfasts with Black Pudding (and “White Pudding”, which was new to me, and delicious).
Keven cooked his legendary Lasagne on the last night and even those who could not wait for food and had to have take out fish and chips, joined in when it came out of the oven.
We were looked after by lovely people at the two railways, and filled with tea/coffee and biscuits.
Well worth repeating.
Yours Jacqui.

Newsletter 94 is now available with the link below.

Dear All,
No dates yet for standard gauge Rallies next year.
But members are working on the possibilities and you will all know as soon as I do.

2 foot gauge
The dates for Statfold Barn Railway are fixed and in the Newsletter header. We give Pump Car Rides.

We usually loan a WW1 Sheffield Pump Car to
“Tracks to the Trenches”
The "Tracks to the Trenches" 2018 event marks the finalé of the Moseley Railway Trust's First World War centenary commemorations - highlighting the tremendous expansion of the British light railways, which were used right up until the Armistice in 1918.
The Apedale Valley Light Railway is the narrow gauge public passenger railway that is operated by the volunteer run Moseley Railway Trust charity at its Apedale home near Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, UK.

This year we may loan a 1915 Hudson Poling Car as well.

We wish you all a Happy New Year.
Yours Jacqui.

Newsletter 96 is now available: http://www.nmrabr.org.uk/downloads/NEWS ... ter-96.pdf

Dear All,

Please note the following two dates for events:

The Velocipede Group has been invited to bring some machines to the ‘Pedal Power’ event at:
the North of England Open Air Museum at Beamish,
near the town of Stanley, County Durham, England.
SATNAV DH9 0RG.
Saturday and Sunday, 24th, 25th March 2018, between 10am and 5pm.
http://www.beamish.org.uk/events/pedal-power/

We will be able to run our machines on half of their Tramway Track and to chat to members of the public.

I do hope some of you can go and show the flag for Pedal Power on Rails, and do some running in a fantastic location (and take photos of the day for the Newsletter).

And if you cannot make it to Beamish, Kevin and I will be running our pump trolleys at the Statfold Barn Railway, near Tamworth, on the Saturday (24 March). [If you want to come along to Statfold please remember you need to book your tickets at least a week in advance – download the forms from their website at http://www.statfoldbarnrailway.co.uk./

There will be another rally at the Eden Valley Railway near Warcop, dates are confirmed for Friday 6th and Saturday 7th July. Hopefully the Saturday will allow more people to come along.

Yours Jacqui.

Dear All,
This Newsletter reports on 2 events on the 24th March, one in the Midlands near Tamworth, Staffordshire
and the other at Beamish in the North East near the town of Stanley, County Durham.
Statfold is even better this year and we had plenty of visitors seeking us out to try Pump Cars.
The group had fun at both events and talked to lots of people about our hobby.

Dear All,
We have the dates for the
North Yorkshire Moors 2018 Event
Friday 9th November between Levisham and Trout Farm and
Saturday 10th Levisham to Goathland.
I hope to meet many of you again in Yorkshire,
the second day is a Saturday so those who have used up all their holiday
can have a day out in fantastic company on Britain’s loveliest railway.

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has a lovely restored Buda Pump Car we hope to see on its first outing.
We also hope the Derwent Valley will bring their restored Buda Pump Car to meet its twin.

Yours Jacqui
