Image hosting websites

Post by Gloriousnse »

Here's a quick list of websites that you can host images on to use on here - so far i've only added ones i've used myself, please feel free to add your own reccomendations. See the other thread for how to add images to your posts.

www.flickr.com is one I would really reccomend, it will work as your own photo gallery if you wanted it to, it's hugely popular, it's free, it's reliable - and it's 'share' option makes putting them on here really simple.

Two further free options are:
www.photobucket.com/
http://imageshack.us/

You may also have web storage space provided as part of your ISP package, that can also be used to host images for here...

One think to be aware of with Flickr though, is the free version has daily & monthly image uploads and also limits you to one gallery. However, if you upgrade to the Pro version (about £25 a year), you have no limits - well worth it.

Nope, because you have to be logged in to view them. But plenty of other much better photo hosting sites out there.
