Re: OPSIG BR

The book "19 East Copy Three" has been reprinted and is now available from http://www.opsig.org/ Hi Peter Yes, an excellent book on TT&TO, great it has been reprinted. (I sometimes wonder if we could save postage by getting a bulk order from OpsSig (I have always fancied a apron, more...

OPSIG BR

Hi I have been asked by the NMRA BR BoD to be the PoC for the OPSIG BR. Having chatted this over with Nobby I was happy to accept. The question is where do we want to go from here? The minimum as I see it is that I remain as a PoC, provide Roundhouse and a email news sheet with details of up coming ...

Re: Achievement Programme - Chief Dispatcher

Hi Peter I would get involved with a local modular group where you will always have the opportunity to put in hours towards Engineer. One does not even really need a module or any stock, though the willingness to help set up and tear down is a great asset. Looking at Roundhouse we have the Armitage ...

Hi

The form for the hours is at:

I am keen we get involved in this, my last entry was 2011, so it is out with the diary!

Re: DCC Accessory Compatability

Hi Wish we had a white board, make it easier to follow. But having read all this assuming we have JMRI have we a problem (I thought we had, but am not so sure now). If Lenz modules appear at a meet where the command station is Digitrax or NCE they need to provide a "R,S" bus and connect th...

Re: DCC Accessory Compatability

I've not looked at other hardware yet and Thamesiders are working with DCC accessories and RS feedback on the main EBL layout. Hi Geoff That's really the issue that worries me. We also use Lenz, but I am reluctant to install a system for signalling which will not work with other commend stations. I...

Re: DCC Accessory Compatability

Are you sure? S9.10 is not listed. Hi Mike It is all a bit confusing, I can find neither at.. http://www.nmra.org/index-nmra-standards-and-recommended-practices But the draft 9.10 is certainly at ... http://www.nmra.org/sites/default/files/standards/sandrp/pdf/S-9.10%20CMRInet%20DRAFT.pdf Peter

Re: DCC Accessory Compatability

Hi Mike Thanks I had forgotten Digitrax is either track bus or digitrax throttle bus, and can be set up for both simultaneously. However CML Digitrax accessories appear to be either set up as track bus or (digitrax) throttle bus, not both. Will try and remember to bring the instructions to our next ...

DCC Accessory Compatability

Hi Interested in adding signals to modules so need to know what is compatible with what? This is what I think works or does not work: Lenz will control NCE but not Digitrax accessories. Digitrax will control Lenz and NCE accessories. NCE will control Lenz but not Digitrax accessories. All three feed...

On30 Narrow Gauge

ImageIMG_0087 by Peter Lloyd-jones, on Flickr

Ken O'Shea has given me his old Narrow Gauge Layout (Some may recall he and I took it to a couple of shows). Here we are re-gauging it (to On30) and converting to DCC.
