Bruce Chubb Articles in RMC

Hi

I understand that Bruce Chubb has written a number of articles on signalling and signal control panels in the RMC. Can any one please provide me with details?

Thanks

Re: Assistance with an Open University Project

Hi Actually I have never formally used UML, but I have been instructed in and used SSADM (Sadism!) Nor actually have I ever used Smalltalk but assume it is just another language. I think however UML was "invented" to help visualise and develop object orientated programs. However reading yo...

Re: Assistance with an Open University Project

Hi

I was wondering what tools you will use to model and analyse the existing system, perhaps ULM?

Re: Requirements

Hi Koos

It appears that a lot of us could qualify, if only if we bothered. So a member of the BoD is a Region Committee Member but what of the other officers (such as yourself?)

I also take it that a lot of the HO Modular Meets do not count, but the Region Ones do?

Thanks

Hi Dean

Google "Snake Bend", a group situated near Worcester, or Google "Worcester N Gaugers".

Re: N Scale Module - latest specifications

Hi Dean

Depending on where you live I would contact either Black Diamonds or the Three Counties Group, both do n scale modules.

Re: My First Layout - N Gauge Denesport & Lesley Falls

Hi Dean I think most DCC locos are set up to run on either DCC or DC. In any case there is one CV one can alter (sort of permanently) that allows the train to operate on either without subsequent change. But I would google it as apparently there can be problems with some decoders and some throttles....

Re: My First Layout - N Gauge Denesport & Lesley Falls

Hi Mike

This bears out what you say, but Lenz for instance used DC on the tracks to initiate a slow down.

https://sites.google.com/site/markgurri ... cc-with-dc

However, Yes unplug the two DC throttles from the bus and plug DCC into one. Or use a TPDT to do the same thing?

Re: My First Layout - N Gauge Denesport & Lesley Falls

If you do go DC I would suggest double pole centre off change over switches (DPDT Centre Off), that would give either of two controllers and fully isolated. HI Mike OK I would do what you suggest and one has two "Throttle Buses (left and right) and one DPDT per block (there are only 4). Rememb...

Re: My First Layout - N Gauge Denesport & Lesley Falls

Hi Dean This may start some controversy, perhaps we should move it, but the two (DC and DCC) are not mutual exclusive. I do not know how you are wiring your blocks but leave one connection free for future DCC. Remember also that most DCC systems allow you to run one DC train. The big NO NO is to lea...

Re: Hello folks

Hi Most of us include our names, cos we know each other. But Peter B makes a good point, with very little compromise on your plan (assuming you have not started) would make a good module. OK, it apparently has a back scene, which freemo does not encourage, but I can not see a meet organiser getting ...

Hi

Does a Virtual USS Panel Count as a structure? One would have videos of it controlling a railroad.
