Re: Freemo Extravaganza - Armitage, Staffs, 5th/6th July 201
So - for anyone who has (or wants to!) expressed an interest in being part of the freemo extravaganza planned for Armitage (Staffs) in early July. See the link up thread if you need to know more. Still over 3 months to go at this stage, so still time to make a lot of progress! You even still have ti...

Re: Freemo Extravaganza - Armitage, Staffs, 5th/6th July 201
Just a little more info from the RMWeb thread, giving how this should work - still plenty of time for folk to get involved, and even build a module! During April - I'll be asking for specifics (plan, dimensions, industries, track capacities) of the module you are bringing, so that I can start to tur...

Re: Whats on on the 30th Sept
And 30/9/14 is a Tuesday, which is unlikely?
Wasn't a typo for the 30/8/14 we've been discussing on email?

Yep, should be able ti handle NMRA or RST spec, but let me know if anything on the additional busses of the NMRA is critical.

Re: Short UP Auto Train
I follow a thread about Indiana Railroad sightings on another forum - the following sighting was posted this morning courtesy of user "Twitty" and I thought of this thread - another example of real railroads occasionally throwing up unlikely sounding trains! 90??-CIT 130 mixed Northbound B...

Re: UK Alco
Is it my imagination, or have they taken the buffers off it? One of the options would be to trace who originally purchased the loco and paint it in their colours. All 5 were purchased brand new by the Steel Company of Wales for use at Port Talbot, so there wasn't an original American livery. Sister ...

Re: Wheel spots
Brian has it - but I think it's later than his recollection, I think 1978 was the key year, with an FRA mandate in March that year. It was discovered that a bad batch of wheelsets had been manufactured and shipped out to various railroads all over the country, the issue had been discovered by invest...
