Is it me, or are you depicting the building to be vacant, with boarded up windows in places?
Looks very good so far, and I don't see anything here that would be a show stopper to build it yet, the roof does sound labour intensive, but perhaps not difficult.

Re: My NMRA-BR spec module 'Wolter Springs'
We've got power. Another hour or so work today , straight after work, saw the dropper wires soldered to the main tracks, and onto a temporary bus wire. (I am still waiting for some material to install the banana sockets etc, once I have those I can make a permanent track bus wire install), and conne...

Re: Passenger line speeds.
I am not certain , but I've seen footage on Youtube of us passenger trains passing through a station at considerable speed, although perhaps this being a center track between the actual platform tracks (so a minimum of 3 tracks between the two platforms, with the higher speeds away from the platform...

Re: My NMRA-BR spec module 'Wolter Springs'
Work is steadily progressing: Today so far, I've made a shelf and attached that to the bottom of one of the boards. On this I am planning to mount my DCC system and power supply. Here you can see my Lenz command station, which I received today, test fitted on it. I've also cut extra pieces of plywoo...

Re: DCC for NMRA BR modules
Does anyone know what kind of powersupplies can be used for the Lenz command station? I didn't yet get a transformer as it wasn't in stock, but have a couple of old laptop powersupplies (switchmode types) available. Would these be able to be used, or do I need a conventional powersupply (transformer...

Re: DCC for NMRA BR modules
Hi Mike , thanks.
Yes I am intending to provide the module with every wiring bus that is required to provide maximum flexibility. So track and power bus, X bus, etc.

Re: My NMRA-BR spec module 'Wolter Springs'
This evening, I made another push in the construction of my boards and legs, and made 2 sets of leg 'pockets', which will be fitted to the inside of my boards, in which the legs will slot. I've also fitted tee nuts and bolts to the legs for height adjustment. I will probably hot glue bottle caps to ...

Re: DCC for NMRA BR modules
Well I've just solved my own problem. :-) I've found a 2 year old second hand Lenz LH100 set at the 'local' hobby shop (used for demo purposes by said shop only) . They will service it for me, and upload the lastest software if needed, so I will have my own Lenz set to use for €200,- (yes that's eur...

Re: PanPastel
I order them on-line, but wear a dress whilst doing so. My heels are presently killing me. I know the feeling Brian, but that was during a fancy dress party, and on equally painful wooden clogs, why did I have to be dressed as a 'dutch girl' I still don't know (I looked more like the bearded lady) ...

Re: PanPastel
REminds me very much of the weathering kits and tools that Tamiya provides, and the applicators can probably be had quite a lot cheaper at Superdrug or Boots etc. However be aware that when you're testing the various kinds of applicators in the cosmetics isle, depending who you are, the shop staff m...

DCC for NMRA BR modules
Hi all, As you might know I am building a module to our latest spec. The intention is to fit at least one Lenz fascia panel so that a throttle can be connected. (my nearest local groups use Lenz). However I am thinking to get a simple DCC system to use these modules as a stand alone switching layout...

Re: My NMRA-BR spec module 'Wolter Springs'
Here's a quick update, Inspired by last weekend's modular meet at Broadclyst, I decided to do some work on my module boards. Today I made a second set of legs for my second board, that together make up my Wolter Springs module. Here the are the pair of boards, on legs and test fitted for the first t...
