Re: PanPastel

yes, have used them, followed the same series, I'm really impressed by the ease of working with them , highly recommend it. They may appear expensive but they'll last a long time.

Re: Posting Failure

Hi Deano, that's odd indeed, I'll have to look into that... I must admit I haven't used the 'preview' button myself recently, but I'll give it a try by posting this message...... ......And that seems to be working OK. How are you adding the pictures? Are you trying to post them directly to the forum...

Re: Challenge 2015

THAT's IT. This is the official notification for the end of Winter challenge 2015. Unfortunately, we have had very few participants, we only had an N scale structure by Dean Halls , and a Roundhouse by Peter Bowen. Re: TWO times GP30

Both of them were equipped with Loksound Select Direct decoders, using Sugarcube speakers (two per loco) and mini LED's with fiber optics for the lights. Here are the decoders in place: https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1532/24430364692_887e3f64c5_c.jpg Lights construction by Koos , on Flickr After ass...

TWO times GP30

Summer last year I was given a task by a friend, to paint and detail two GP30's he had, into Southern Pacific / Cotton Belt units. He would pay for his share of details and parts, and in return for the work I was to keep one of them. I didn't think too long and so it was that I went home with two Li...

Re: Blue box SD40-2

I would cut the plastic of the numberboards off the headlight section on both sides, and fit them separately with a drop of glue. Before fitting, use some black paint to mask the sides etc to stop light leakage, unless you want to illuminate them separately. (micro leds would do nicely). Then the he...

Re: My First Layout - N Gauge Denesport & Lesley Falls

Real water - now that is a challenge - I had thought about it but after due consideration it seemed a step too far at this point in my budding layout building career!!! Have you considered watching the 'how to model water' series by our own Kathy Millatt on youtube? It will show you that it is not ...

Re: Blue box SD40-2

So far, so good with the SD40-2 loco. New wheels fitted, A-line Mashima fitted, now for the fun bit. I've re-wired the trucks and will put a LokSound Direct decoder in it, above the motor. Obviously hard wired, which shouldn't pose to much of a problem. I want to fit ditch lights, lights etc. but I...
