That is a 3-part series in MRH Magazine - April, May & June. Very informative

Re: Essex Belt Lines at Ally Pally

Very nice, Dan. I hope the British Modellers appreciated the demonstration on what 'proper' model railroading looks like :-)

Re: Switching area module - a design challenge?

Geoff, I'll get Alan to post some photos of my modules once I have finished them - won't be able to post myself as will no longer be a Region Services member from Monday (long story) so will not have access to the forum. Briefly, I have two buildings from the Walthers Papermill series - the 'pulp mi...

Re: Switching area module - a design challenge?

Geoff, I'm also doing a paper mill on my 2 board module. Will be interested to find out more about yours.

Re: Thamesiders Modular Trial Run for Ally Pally

Of course, forgot about that - but think my layout was there as well, so don't think I got to see any other layouts - http://youtu.be/FIkHcwy8Va8

Re: Request for photos

Great job, guys. Keep the photos coming! As for 'posts by others', that is the way pages work, unlike personal pages. Only 'admins' posts appear on the main feed, that is standard for all pages. Ant, multiple admins can post at the same time - if you have an iPhone you can use the Pages app - otherw...

Re: Thamesiders Modular Trial Run for Ally Pally

I didn't have the opportunity. I live in Berkshire, so pain in the butt to travel to Ally Pally, plus I have a wife so prefer to spend my weekends with her & doing DIY (ie. getting my garage ready for my layout). I rarely go to shows for that very reason, unless they are close by (ie. Benson) &a...

Re: Western Union - March 2013

Good idea, if you have enough modules of a certain era.

Re: Western Union - March 2013

Yes, but remember that the whole idea of modular is that the era & theme is not set - so someone with a west coast modern era module could hook up with an east coast transition era module. Mind you, there is a system available that gives modules this extra layer (PLJ, remind me what it's called?)

Re: Western Union - March 2013

Looking brilliant! Really like that it's been wired for block detection - that should be a requirement on all modular boards to increase realism.

Re: Free-moN

Thanks for that, Peter!! Sounds very interesting and just up my street. I hadn't heard of OpenLCB, but I am intrigued...will have to read up more on it! Let's keep in touch! Are you going to be at Benson? By the way, have you found a source for decent N scale signals? Craig from BLMA says they've sh...

Re: Free-moN

The 'new layout' because we don't currently have a N scale layout. Our last one burnt to ash in the fire we had a few years ago. We are working on an HO modular layout built to NMRA spec, but there are a few of us N scalers who want something to run our stock on & to take to the modular meets. I...

Free-moN

Is anyone interested in the Free-moN standard? I know there are a few other standards being used round the country, but is anyone here using the Free-moN standard? I know the SnakeBend boys use their own 'modified' version of the oNeTRAK standard, but with the large number of European US layouts usi...
