Re: Paint Markers

Hi Mike,

Some authentic looking cars you have there, did you use any Dullcote (or suchlike) before and after using the pens or does the acrylic stay put once dry?

Kind regards

Re: boxfile layouts

Hi Alex, Whilst not having built one I would be really interested in seeing any photos you have of the build so far. I have a 3way point in the plan for one of my N scale modules but as yet haven’t laid it or decided fully how to operate it although I’m really tempted to use servos. Kind regards Dean

Hi Koos,

Been a bit lapse in my review of the web site so missed your responses. It only seems to come up just after log in.

Happy digging (but don’t waste valuable modelling time over it!!) 🙂

Kind regards

Hi Mike,

Good to see you are still not adverse to making changes! - any particular reason for this change?

Hi Koos,

When I log in I always get “Last visit was: Thu Jan 01, 1970 12:00 am” up in the top right hand corner of the forum page. The current time and date in the left hand corner is always correct.

I know its not a big issue but?

Kind regards

Re: Winter 2016 Challenge - Jim Botten - Breakheart Trestle

And now their back 🤔 - I am using my IPad at the moment and the pics are good, previously I was using my laptop. I will try the laptop again to see if the issue is resolved. Either way the trestles looking good, lots of small pieces of timber though - don't you just love this Scale!!! Kind regards D...

Re: Winter 2016 Challenge - Jim Botten - Breakheart Trestle

Hi Jim,

Good to see your still progressing, or it would be if the photos were there! Even all your earlier shots seems to have just been replaced by script that takes you to flicka but not the actual shot.

Anyways keep up the good work.

Kind regards

Re: Bruce Chubb Articles in RMC

Hi Peter,

Part 11, as the concluding instalment was in Nov 2016 RMC. I have all the 11 sections as digital downloads within the magazines but not sure I can copy and paste them into a "book" to say email you.

Was there anything particular of interest?

Kind regards

Re: N Scale Modules

Hi Geoff, Actually, I have got some good news in that the nearest group to me (Thamesiders based at Frating near Colchester) are very keen on N and this Saturday (20th) there is a discussion to see how we can make a go of it (all though I'm not sure T Trak is on the radar!!) - I had previously got s...

Hi Koos, it's all progress no matter how small the step - and getting the opportunity to run your trains where they go somewhere is what it's all about - well done.

Re: Winter Challenge 2016 - Dean Halls - Build a Car (or 12)

I promised myself that if I entered this year I would finish and as today is the last day then I guess I've finished - or at least at a point where I am happy (and able) to run the units around "the Depot" (the shed)! https://c1.staticflickr.com/4/3741/32942799703_23f16e1a3d_z.jpg They run!! by Dean...

Re: Winter Challenge 2016 - Dean Halls - Build a Car (or 12)

As can be seen in the previous photo the brake pipes are very easy to brake (pardon the pun!!). Some judicial placement of glue seems to have worked but I would rather have had it fitted properly and whole - anyway at least we now have two braked cars so its not completely a runaway!! https://c1.sta...

Re: Winter Challenge 2016 - Dean Halls - Build a Car (or 12)

Just starting to realise that retirement doesn't necessarily mean more modelling time!! - there remains however a bit o time left and I aim to complete this year!! As can be seen in the pic below - all 12 cars have been built in so far as bodies and truck assemblies (apart from one set where I seem ...
