Due to work on their club layout, the A5 Railroaders Group were unable to hold their regular August Operating Session thereon. :( Instead a 2 day Operating Session was held by Club Members on the GN Spokane Division. We have changed the dates for our Operations Sessions to the second Sunday in even months.

This means that futures dates will be:-

9th August, 11th October, 13th December

Due to various circumstances, the OPSIG Session originally to be held on Sunday 7th June has been postponed until Sunday 12th July.

There was a good article in Model Railroader October 2014 about choosing headlight resistors.

I am not expert in these matters, but using the example quoted in the article you seem to be on the right lines.
