I have pre-ordered one from Hattons at £68. I have tried the major interfaces from Lenz, Digitrax etc and compared with the elegance of modern iPad or Android visual interface they are all from the era of valve radios. Nearest I can get to something that just 'works out of the box' is TouchCab on iP...

I'm not a fan of fixed track having last used sectional track when a teenager. I did hand lay one layout, Pine Point Mill, the rest are with PECO or Shinohara flex track. I do chop up turnouts and bend them to my requirements, having been known to straighten curved turnouts and bend straight ones! ...

Kadees for KATO locos

Hi

I want to standardise the couplers on my Kato locos but Kadee number-5's have fixing loops on either side of the coupler box. Do you just cut these loops off or is there a special number-5-compatible coupler that fits Kato?
