This is a reminder about our show on Sat 19th Sept and an update on layouts and car parking details. Firstly, unfortunately, 'Florida Springs' is unable to attend the show. Also, for those coming by car, access to the car park is via Town Barn Road rather than West Green Drive as per the venue addre...

Re: Hacienda Avenue - HO Switching in So Cal

Forgot to mention that the Limestone powder from RMS I find good for accenting basic 'earth' and also for compacted areas like tracks and roadside areas

Re: Hacienda Avenue - HO Switching in So Cal

Hi Geoff Thanks for the feedback. At the moment Hacienda Ave is booked to go to Mid-Kent show (Maidstone) in April and also TVNAM in June I had to import my Arizona R&M either direct from Caboose Hobbies (v expensive with shipping / tax etc) or via a mutual friend of ours while he was on holiday. De...

Re: Hacienda Avenue - HO Switching in So Cal

Thanks Keith

Mike - no I used a separate bit of 9mm ply as the "bridge" so it is pretty ridged. that sits flush into the 9mm MDF desk a with each end on a couple of 2x1 softwood risers. So while not completely rigid it seems pretty resilient.
