Kent & East Sussex Group

The Kent & East Sussex Group was formed in July 2013 and is open to all NMRA members, principally for those resident in the two counties of its name and those members who live along the A27 and A23/M23 corridors in West Sussex but all other members  are always welcome.

The Group meets approximately monthly in members' homes across Kent and East Sussex, although future Meets may take place also at places of railway and other transport interest. Meetings have been held in Crowborough, Bexhill-on-Sea, Seaford, Hastings, Lewes, Lancing, Gravesend and Strood to date, all viewing and running members' home layouts.

Upcoming meetings are as follows, more in the pipeline:

  • Wednesday 11 October 2017 - a midweek event on the Texas Pacific Lines with switchlists, car cards and waybills.  10-30 to 16.30 .  Spaces limited so first come first served.  To book email or call Mike Arnold

  • Saturday 18 November 2017 at the home of Dave Griffiths in Hastings. The theme will be model railroading techniques in the form of three clinic areas in his house.  The topics will be decided nearer the time based on member feedback - see page 7 of Newsletter #25 for more details and what is on offer to choose from.
