The very popular and successful N gauge madNess is back for 2012!
WHERE:
Ukrainian Centre off Swarkstone Road. ‘Tarasivka’, Bridge Lane,
Weston on Trent, Derbyshire DE72 2BU
Just off A50 (J3; A514 junction); easy reach from M1 (J24).
WHEN:
Friday 27th April – SETUP 12noon to 9pm
Friday is for module owner's and madNess supporters to set up the layout, there will be no through running. NMRA Members and other railway enthusiasts who wish to help are most welcome. (None NMRA members may be charged £2)
Saturday 28th April – Final setup and through operation (Running), (8am to 6pm)
This is a member's day but any Railway Modelers with an interest in Modular Layouts will be welcome to come and see what we do, also Traders are welcome if they wish to attend. The morning is for final setup and operation should commence by 1pm.
Sunday 29th April – Run Day, trade. (9am to 3 pm)
Open to Members and General Public. Operation and Trade support.
HOW MUCH:
ENTRANCE FEE £5 Members (on showing valid membership card) get £2 Discount.
Camping or Caravan on site for the weekend can be arranged. Charge is £3 for weekend.
Anybody with an N Gauge module that wishes to join us for a weekend of fun is more than welcome.
The layout will be controlled by Digitrax DCC with wireless, tethered and iPod throttles in use. The module standards in use will include FreemoN; Snake Bend (2 and 1 track) and Black Diamond (2 and 1 track) and Ntrak.
