Calder Northern Division “Western Roads” Themed event

We currently have a minimum of 12 layouts to be on show - 

N scale - Black Diamonds/Worcs group joint effort with over 200 feet of running,

            - Fraser Valley (Alastair Knox)

            - Needles Sub (South Shore Group)

HO scale - Iowa Kansas (Roger Nicholls)

              - Harrington (Richard New)

              - Grain & Beer + Waukegan & Kenosha Terminal (Patrick Bopp from Luxembourg) this makes it a truly 'International' event

              - Tweekson (Roy & Rachel Harris)

              - plus Calder Northern's own large layout with the new additional 28 foot scenic extension along

                the clubroom wall.

   Of course Devils Creek will be running and Mike Lenz's Diesel Depot will be on show.

Lionel     -  a 12 x 10’ foot O scale layout. (should be of interest to children)

6 traders - LSWR, Contikits, plus ABC Modelsports (who will be giving airbrushing demos),

                Bookseller, SCC (Ted Smale), Brass Models (Richard Maxwell)

Chris Leigh of Model Rail will giving a presentation at 11am & 2pm on Saturday only on the WP&YR plus Vancouver Island's Kinsol Trestle.

We have Bring & Buy tables (available @ £5 a table) plus all the other attractions of the Crewe Heritage Centre will be available - 7.25”miniature railway, 3 signal boxes open, "Be a Driver for a Fiver" on the class 03 shunter up & down the yard, plus hopefully a loco in steam. Maybe even a GM loco as well.

There will be a hot food facility on site. Entrance is £4 for NMRA members (strictly on production of membership card) with the public paying £5 for adults, children under 12 years free - those over 12 years £2, Family rate (2+2) £10
