Calder Northern Division invite Region members to come along on Sunday 18th April to a clinic/presentation by Paul Brickles of ABC Modelsport, Crewe on the subject of weathering. This will start at 11am and continue till 12.30pm. Paul will give an introduction to weathering using both powders and airbrush. This will be the first of a couple of presentations and will hopefully allow some members to try their hand using an airbrush. Paul believes many of us are afraid of using this medium in case we spoil our expensive models and he hopes to encourage people to experiment and thus remove the myth, during his presentation. However, as this meeting is also Calder Northern AGM meet (which starts at 1.30pm) there is opportunity for other than Calder Northern members to enjoy further participation of weathering practices with Paul from 1.30pm assuming additional room is available on the day. It is a day when the Heritage Centre is open to the public. Paul will also bring along powders, airbrushes and small model compressors to sell offering discounts. Further details and information can be obtained from Terry Wynne (e-mail and phone number in the Region Directory) Please note we will also be holding a silent auction of items given to Calder Northern which includes books, locomotives, freight cars and a couple of passenger cars. A copy of the items on offer can be provided by Terry Wynne. Please note - Only those attending the meet can participate in the silent auction. Items not sold on the day will be advised in Beanery. Do come along to what we hope will be the start of a series of various clinics and presentations on a number of topics.
